We're supporting Community Cycleworks with a bike refurbishment project taking place in the run up to Christmas.

Local bike charity, Community Cycleworks, will be refurbishing up to 20 children’s bikes over the next few weeks. The bikes, for children aged 5 – 10, will then be prizes in a big giveaway in the run up to Christmas.

In order to complete this ambitious project, Community Cycleworks need volunteers to join in the fun and become bike mechanics for the day! If you fancy rolling your sleeves up, come down to the pop-up workshop on Albany Road (150 Albany Road, SE5 0AL) and learn a new skill. Mechanics will be on hand to guide you through the process and no experience is necessary.

Workshops will take place on:

Saturday 4 December 1pm – 3pm

Saturday 11 December 1pm – 3pm

Saturday 18 December 1pm – 3pm

The big giveaway will take place on Thursday 23 December at Burgess Café and will be run in conjunction with Burgess Sports.

Contact amy@ccw.bike to book or to find out more about the project.
