Resident involvement is an opportunity for you to have your say in the regeneration programme, influence the development and design of your neighbourhood and gain some valuable skills.
Getting involved could take just five minutes or several days, it's really up to you as we have a 'menu' of involvement opportunities.
We recognise the importance of transparency and being held to account and we welcome the opportunity to work with residents. These groups will ensure that residents can directly influence and monitor the regeneration.
This will be an opportunity to work with your neighbours from across the Aylesbury neighbourhood on topics such as open spaces, community facilities and children and families.
We will continue to listen to your feedback throughout the life time of the programme. We recognise that your needs and aspirations may change over time so we'll use a range of methods. Don't worry we won't keep asking you the same questions!
The ongoing commitment and effort of residents is vital to making the regeneration a success and we want to keep developing that local voice. We'll provide small grants, governance support and bespoke training programmes. Whether you're an established resident association or are thinking of forming a new group - come and talk to us.
We want there to be something for everyone. You'll get the opportunity to try out new project ideas that come from the theme groups. For example food growing and inter-generational cooking sessions, or designing and making simple furniture for community use.
There'll be opportunities for you to learn about anything from basic DIY skills and money management, right up to design and the planning process.
